HWANGE SAFARI LODGE
Hwange National Park
Hwange National Park came into existence in 1928, and is now one of the best known and frequented national parks in southern Africa. Historically Hwange was the tribal hunting ground of the Ndebele and was later to become the main route used by European explorers between Zimbabwe and Botswana. Today, after more than 60 years of conservation Hwange, is a vast reserve, teeming with game.
On the edge of the reserve is the renowned Hwange Safari Lodge, gateway to an unspoilt wildlife paradise. The lodge accommodates 200 guests in suites of varying standard. From the cool verandah, or while sipping cocktails on the viewing platform overlooking the waterhole, you can watch the mighty elephants and other game amble down to cool off in the midday sun.
Game drives in open vehicles will take you further into the heart of the African bush, where the sight of Zimbabwe’s famous ‘Presidential herd’ of elephants and the sounds of nature will be indelibly etched in your memory.
